Modern & whimsical winter wedding

When Alyssa first reached out to me, I remember her having a slight sense of panic as her flower dreams for her wedding were crushed over and over again by other florists. She had a very specific vision, (all white florals with a baby's breath installation), yet also a specific budget she needed to stick to. 

Alyssa and Geordon were having an intimate, modern wedding with only 80 people on their guest list; they wanted to spend their day surrounded by family, friends, food and flowers. Like many brides before her, Alyssa with her dream flowers in hand was having a hard time matching her floral expectations alongside her budget expectations. Sadly, flowers are not cheap-- trust me, I get it! Florals are a luxury, hence why I am a luxury florist. However, a large part of my job is taking someone's dream and making it a reality within the context of their day. 

For example, Alyssa originally dreamed of having a floral arch stuffed with baby's breath to give it a cloud like sensation (which was a huge trend in 2021 & 2022); the reality is though, in order to pull off this design style, you need a LOT of baby's breath! Educating my couples is a big part of what I do, and that was no exception here; I had to explain that although baby's breath may seem cheap, by the time you order the large volume needed, it racks up the price super fast. Therefore, I proposed a different design that ultimately accomplishes the original goal and vision: elegant, modern, show-stopping. 

In the end, I think the smiles on their faces says it all-- what do you think?!
